The technology behind Wiped Film Evaporation relies on a mechanical rotor assembly equipped with wiper blades. As fluid enters the top of the evaporator, the wiper blades distribute the fluid evenly along the heated walls of the vessel. Under vacuum, volatile components vaporize rapidly, escaping through the vapor outlet, while the concentrated product flows down the walls to the discharge nozzle. This continuous, single-pass process handles high viscosities up to 100,000 cP, outperforming standard falling film or rising film evaporators in demanding applications.
