Efficient Falling Film Evaporation Plant from China Suppliers - High-Quality Factory Solutions for Heat-Sensitive Liquids

A falling film evaporator is an advanced solution for efficiently concentrating heat-sensitive liquids in China. This innovative technology features a feed liquid that creates a thin film flowing down heated vertical tubes, allowing for partial evaporation. The vapor generated flows parallel to the liquid, optimizing the concentration process. With a short residence time and low operating temperature, our falling film evaporator maintains product quality while maximizing efficiency. As a leading manufacturer and supplier in the industry, our factory ensures proper liquid distribution and complete surface wetting to prevent fouling, thus preserving high thermal efficiency and operational stability. Trust our factory for your evaporator needs in China

    Description

The liquid feed is introduced at the top of the calandria, where a distribution system ensures the formation of a uniform liquid film along the inner walls of the heating tubes. As the film flows downward under gravity, it is heated externally and begins to boil, partially evaporating along its path. The downward flow is further promoted by the co-current flow of vapor generated during boiling.

Separation of the remaining liquid film and vapor takes place in the lower section of the calandria and is completed in a downstream centrifugal droplet separator. To prevent dry spots—which can cause fouling and deposit accumulation—it is critical to maintain complete and even wetting of the entire heating surface. This can be achieved by using longer heating tubes, dividing the evaporator into multiple compartments, or implementing product recirculation.

    Frequently Asked Questions
Q How does a falling film evaporator work?
In a falling film evaporator, liquid feed is introduced at the top of the calandria and distributed as a thin, uniform film along the inner walls of the heating tubes. As the film flows downward under gravity, it is heated externally and partially evaporates. The vapor generated promotes further downward flow, and the remaining liquid and vapor are separated in the lower section and a centrifugal droplet separator.
Q What are the key advantages of falling film evaporation over other evaporation methods?
Falling film evaporators offer extremely short product residence times, gentle evaporation typically under vacuum, high heat transfer efficiency, and simple automation. They also support multiple-effect configurations and vapor recompression (TVR/MVR) for significant energy savings, making them superior for heat-sensitive and high-throughput applications.
Q What products are best suited for falling film evaporation?
Falling film evaporators are particularly suited for temperature-sensitive products such as dairy products, fruit juices, plant extracts, sugar solutions, and blood plasma. They are also appropriate for liquids containing small quantities of solids with a low to moderate tendency to form incrustations.
Q How is fouling and dry spot formation prevented in a falling film evaporator?
To prevent dry spots and fouling, it is essential to maintain complete and even wetting of the entire heating surface. This can be achieved through the use of longer heating tubes, dividing the evaporator into multiple compartments, or implementing product recirculation to ensure a continuous liquid film across all surfaces.
Q What energy-saving technologies are available with Zongheng falling film evaporators?
Zongheng integrates advanced energy-saving technologies including multi-effect evaporation systems and mechanical vapor recompression (MVR). These configurations significantly reduce steam consumption and overall operational costs, making the evaporation process highly energy-efficient for large-scale industrial applications.
